Just about all who know me, know how much I love my
baby; My Coco Chanel! She was the best thing that happened to me in May 2010 aside from me graduating from college with my Bachelors Degree in Psychology.
Coco quickly became a part of the family. She would get dressed to come to family functions and if mommy (me) went away, she would either stay with her cousin or stay at the finest hotel (Pet Smart Doggie Hotel)! Coco was a joy to have and she loved unconditionally. No matter who came through our door, she ran to them in excitement and offered jumps and kisses. What a way to feel better if your day was going left because Coco wouldn't stop jumping until she was acknowledged. You were going to get her love.....lol
But all of a sudden things began to change. Coco wasn't acting like herself and she began to show signs of not feeling well. I (mommy) called for an emergency appointment and they did everything within Mommy's means. The look the vets gave me, I knew it wasn't good and the very next day, Mommy had to say goodbye to her baby....I wasn't ready...OMG! What just happened?!
How many times has life caught us off guard and we are left asking ourselves, "What just happened?!" How many times has the unexpected happened and we are left with our mouths opened wide, jaw on the floor, saying "OMG!"
Transition.....that's all it is.....Transition
A change that forces us to act because in no other circumstance would we....
A passage that we have to go through to get to the other side; to get to the next stage in life....
A movement which tells us that we can't stop or get stagnant; that we have to keep going forward...
So, when life catches you off guard, look for the lesson; look for the light. God never does anything for no rhyme or reason. We have to remember Isaiah 55:8 which states, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord."
We may not understand it, but God is at work in every situation.
Yes, I miss my Coco Chanel and no I don't understand why she had to go and yes it surely caught me off guard....yet, I'm looking for the light. I'm looking for the lesson and I know God will make it clear in due time.
Trusting the Process....Trusting the Transition
